CDC Recommendations for Masks and other Safety Measures

Rutherford County is at high risk for community transmission of COVID-19. This is based on numbers of new cases and positive tests reported.

The CDC recommends safety precautions of all persons, even those who have been vaccinated:

COVID-19 Vaccinations

Help us share information about the COVID-19 vaccinations with your clients.

  • COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective.

  • You may have side effects after vaccination, but these are normal.

  • It typically takes two weeks after you are fully vaccinated for the body to build protection (immunity) against the virus that causes COVID-19.

  • Vaccines are widely available. Find a COVID-19 vaccine.

  • You should still take steps to protect yourself and others in many situations, like wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.
